Privacy Policy for Pool Progress

Pool Progress is an independent product of Bergenly LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Poolplayers Association (APA) or any other league organization.

Last Updated: July 25, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you register for Pool Progress, we collect information such as your email address (and related account identifiers) to create and manage your account, authenticate you, and handle password reset and account confirmation flows.

Practice and App Data: We store information you create in the app so the service works across sessions and devices, including practice history (for example Vs Ghost and related game records), settings, and similar profile fields tied to your Pool Progress account.

Telemetry Data: We may collect usage data including error messages, feature interactions, and diagnostics. This data may be associated with a device or install identifier.

Optional League Account Connection (APA): If you choose to connect an APA account (or similar third-party league credentials where offered):

2. How We Use Your Information

Service Provision: To operate Pool Progress accounts, sync your practice data, power features you use, and process optional league account connection and profile lookups.

Analytics and Reliability: To understand feature use, diagnose errors, and improve the app.

Communication: To send essential account messages (for example password resets or security notices) by email or similar channels you provide.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Infrastructure Providers: We use cloud and platform providers (for example hosting, databases, authentication, and email delivery) to run the service. They process data on our behalf under their agreements with us.

Third-Party League Services: If you connect a league account, we transmit credentials or tokens as needed to that third party to authenticate and retrieve the profile data required for the feature. Pool Progress does not control the third party’s privacy practices; review their policies as well. Pool Progress is not an official APA application.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights, users, or the public as permitted by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) for API traffic and encryption at rest for sensitive stored credentials such as league refresh tokens in production. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; use a unique password for Pool Progress and for any connected league account.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@poolprogress.com.

You may request account deletion at https://poolprogress.com/delete-account.html using the same credentials as the app. Deletion is permanent once confirmed and is intended to remove your Pool Progress account data from our systems, subject to limited residual copies in backups or logs for a short period and any data we must retain for legal reasons.

Disconnecting a league account stops future use of that connection and removes our stored refresh token for it; it does not delete your account with the third-party league.

You cannot opt out of essential account management communications (for example password resets). You may opt out of optional marketing communications where offered.

6. Children's Privacy

Pool Progress is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last Updated” date and, for material changes, may notify you by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
